One of the mother company, Total Industrial Ltd. (TIL), first contacted and signed representative contract with the largest wind turbine manufacturer, Vestas Wind System A/S in 1990. In the year of 200, TIL and Toyota Tsusho Corporation (TTC) together formed Vestech Taiwan Corporation (VTC) to serve as exclusive representative of Vestas Wind System A/S from Denmark. In response to the trend of global green energy and environmental protection and being optimistic about the market potential and development of wind power energy in Taiwan mainland, VTC actively participated in all wind power construction projects of Taiwan Power Company (TPC) and introduced the latest technology and related knowledge from Europe into Taiwan.
The completed wind farm projects in Taiwan are: FHI Mailiao wind farm, CLC Zhubei Plant wind farm, TPC Shimen Power Plant wind farm and TPC CK wind farm, which were listed as demonstration wind farms. In addition, VTC obtained and completed the ML(I), SH, LK, CK(II), ML(II) and KM wind farm projects of TPC with total of 88 units of Vestas wind turbines until the year of 2011.
Assembly an O&M service team in year of 2013 and obtained TPC LK/DT/KM 3 years O&M service work. In 2015, VTC cooperated with SEC and acquired TPC CK 3 years O&M service work and single-handedly acquired TPC ML(I) 3 years O&M service work.
As the offshore wind power in Europe continuously developed, we also expected ourselves to contribute to Taiwan's offshore wind farm developments. In year 2015, VTC provided the grouting material and grouting service of subsea foundation to TPC met mast installation project.
While developing offshore wind power, we continuously develop the potential market of Taiwan onshore wind farms. By the end of 2016, we signed an exclusive agency contract with Danish manufacturer Solid Wind Power for 19.8kW and 25kW small wind turbines.
In 2017, VTC successively cooperated with Dutch offshore wind subsea foundation EPCI, Seaway Heavy Lifting (SHL) and Germany offshore subsea cable laying EPCI, Siem Offshore Contractors (SOC), to act as local consultant and representative to assist SHL and SOC to bring their global offshore experience into Taiwan; In addition, to establish Taiwan local supply chain and rooted in Taiwan.
In 2018, we took over the construction of Eurus Yunlin Mailiao Met Mast, and obtained the V66 O&M contract of CLC Zhubei branch in the same year, and continued to grow and thrive in onshore wind power. In 2019, we obtained the V66 O&M contract extension for two years. In 2020, Vestech participated in the wind turbine pulling operation of Vestas V105 and took over the replacement of V66 generator and blade repair project.
As a local service provider in wind power industry, VTC is committed in training domestic talents and expanding the local supply chain. In order to connect the offshore wind power industry, we quickly established three management systems of occupational safety and health, environment, and quality, which were applied to the actual process, and obtained the certification of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
